Strength training and nutrition?

I started weight training and explain at least three or four times week and I have a diet at the same time. allowed me to reduce my calories and not training at the same time? and weight muscles lose also help (or at least the layer of fat around my body)? I'm going home in less than six weeks and I think losing at least six kilos, is it possible?
